It’s that time of year again! Time to get your crew together and head down to the South Boston Waterfront for another Harpoon Fest. Never been, or don’t remember the last one!? Well, Harpoon Fests are a must. Hundreds of beer drinkers gather at Harpoon Brewery and enjoy a wide variety of Harpoon Beers, food, music and more.
The St. Patricks Festival is always a great one to attend. The weather is getting nicer so what better reason to drink outside on a Saturday? Plus, it’s a week before actual Paddy’s day so you basically get an extra weekend of celebration.
The 2011 St. Paddy’s festival will be held at March 4th and 5th at the South Boston Brewery. It’s $20 a ticket but you’ll get a discount if you have a friends of Harpoon card. Free shuttles run from south station all day long, so no excuse.
Tickets are purchased at the door. Remember to come early! Lines are usually pretty long…

Never enough Belgian beer. If you love the complex brewing style of Belgian beers, even if you don’t, you need to go to the Belgian Beer Festival on November 5 & 6th at the Cyclorama in the South End.
Note: This event is sold out if your lucky, you might find some tickets on craigs or ebay, because like all Beer Advocate festivals, this will be a great!

Head up North to the New Hampshire Brewers Festival

Head up north next weekend – jump on the bus, take a cab or hitchhike. Doesn’t matter. What better excuse to get out of the city and enjoy New Hampshire in the fall than a beer fest?
The second annual New Hampshire Brewers Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday November 12 and 13, 2010, in the Armory at the Radisson Hotel, in Manchester, NH! You can expect the normal bunch including Redhook, Longtrail and Harpoon, but there will also be a handful of brewpubs in attendance such as the Portsmouth Brewery and Milly’s Tavern. Sounds good to me.

Fall & Winter’s at Harvest Fest 2010

Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons for beer by far. I love the subtle spices of fall ales, and the complexity of winter stouts. Luckily, for people like me, Beer Summit is hosting “Harvest Fest” on November 19th and 20th. Unfortunately, I will be traveling to DC that weekend and cannot attend, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t!
Brewers such as Berkshire, Blue Hills Brewery, Boulder Beer, Brooklyn and Cape Ann Brewing will be in attendance.

After a year off, Newbury will host it’s annual brewfest as part of Yankee Homecoming. If you haven’t checked out a Yankee Homecoming event before, this is the year to go. Yankee Homecoming is a yearly festival on the Newburyport waterfront which features live music, parades, food, etc, etc. All of the good stuff for the whole family.
At July 24th at 4pm and lasting through 9pm, the Yankee Homecoming Brewfest will feature over 30 craft beers room local breweries and live music from the band Ol Brown Shoe.
This will be my first Yankee Homecoming Brewfest.. very excited about it. Newburyport is one of my favorite cities in the state, sure to be a good time!
First Annual Amesbury Brewfest

On July 2nd from 5-8pm, Amesbury will host its first annual brewfest entitled “Amesbrewery Days International Craft Brewers Festival.” I’m sure the actual brewfest will be better than it’s name.
This event will be held at the Amesbury Mass Town Hall parking lot next to Maggie Sundae. The brewfest will cost $25, but the moeny will go directly to the 2011 Amesbury Days Festival and Fireworks display. Not sure what that means… Beerfest!!!

American Craft Beerfest 2010
June 23, 2010 by Parker
Filed under Beer Fests, in Your Neighborhood, South Boston
Mid June is my favorite time of year in Boston. No, not because the temps break 70 for the first time all year, but because the best of American Craft Beer assembles at the Seaport Hotel.
2010 marked the third year of the American Craft Beer Fest, and again it did not disappoint. I found the lines to be somewhat long this time around, as the word seems to have gotten out amongst the city. Not like 2008 or 2009 had poor attendance, but some of the lines this year were ridiculous. Dogfishead and Pretty Things led the way with lines backed up to the bathrooms, while others such as Harpoon watched from near-empty booths.
Beeradvocate, you did a great job. Please, please host your other yearly events at the Seaport – The Cyclorama events seem to fall very short after this event.
